Melanie Snipes has a passion for practicing law and has been doing so for over 18 years. She began her legal career as an associate in a small firm with a general practice. She then became a legal advisor for a metropolitan police department and later an assistant district attorney. She currently has a general practice of law that over the years has provided her with experience and skill in a wide-range of legal matters. She practices in municipal, state, federal and appellate courts.
Ms. Snipes has represented hundreds of clients in civil and criminal matters. She has represented clients in criminal matters ranging from misdemeanors to successfully defending people charged with the most serious homicide offenses before a jury. While maintaining her own law practice, she was also of counsel for the Criminal Defense Section of the Cochran Firm, P.C., Santa Monica, California, from 2006-2007, and Imhoff & Associates, P.C., Los Angeles, California, 2007 to 2012. She is currently a member of the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Panel for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and has worked as a private attorney for the indigent defense programs in the states of Georgia and Tennessee.
Ms. Snipes utilizes her legal skills and experience to aggressively represent her clients and is grateful for the opportunity to do so each day.
